Hi lovely ladies, a lot of us girls shy away from long dresses if we are under 5’5″ and this is exactly for you small girls. I picked up this lovely blue long gown by AND and paired it up for all the petite girls following me. Keep reading for the details and the pictures.
How did I style this lovely blue long gown?
If you are planning to attend a reception or a cocktail party then this is something that you can surely try. Usually, when you are too small, it’s better to pick a well-tailored gown than something that is ill-fit. Well fitted dresses always look better than something that is over-the-top.
When I picked this dress, I knew I had to wear very high heels because I needed those elevations. I always keep my hair open as I feel that it suits me the best and hence I have not changed my hair at all. Also, I picked up golden accessories because that would give such a lovely contrast to the outfit. In contrast, I picked up silver shoes because I wanted to bring in a lot of bling to the outfit.
Makeup Details & Where To Buy Them?
I always have a thing for earthly eyeshadows and darker lips. This was nothing different from my favorite. The only thing that I tried was to mix two different shades of lipstick to get the shade that I wanted. I loved how the makeup turned out to be super clean and soft.

OOTD with the lovely blue long gown-
I also need to add that I was wearing shapewear under my dress as the dress is very fitting and I did want my lingerie to be visible. If you do not feel comfortable wearing them then avoid them. Also, do remember that dresses like these can be less forgiving and do try them once before buying or wearing them on your big day.
If someone does advise you that such long dresses would make petite women look smaller, it is so not true !! I loved wearing them and I would advise you not to abide by the rules.
